Custom Designed Joinery
Bibliotheque opened in 2001 when we made our first custom timber bookcase from Australian hardwood. We moved to larger premises in 2007, and then to our present facility in Marrickville in 2012. We specialise in producing custom designed bookcases, bespoke media units and home offices. We also make by-arrangement built-in wardrobes and kitchens. Our location helps us service customers in Sydney's Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, and Lower North Shore.
We control all production and installation ourselves to meet our high standards of quality. We have only qualified trades people and train our own apprentices. Materials used include both Australian and imported timber and veneers and polyurethane finishes.
In 2017 we upgraded our CAD facility enabling us to offer a better custom design service and to fully deliver on our business ethos. Our quote consultation is designed to truly discover what you, the customer, wants. Once determined, our design team will create a concept that is unique to your requirements and preferences. You won’t see your custom designed media unit in anyone else’s home.

The Highest Quality Hardware and Materials
Bibliotheque strive to use the highest quality materials and hardware to ensure longevity, strength and aesthetics. Our factory is equipped with specialist machinery for all Blum and Grass hardware which include drawer systems, lift systems, hinges and other products.
Bibliotheque are loyal to established and reputable local suppliers to source all timber, board and doors such as Polytec and Tesrol and often source specialised material from Wilsonart and Laminex to satisfy any request of our customers.
We also source specialty fasteners and other hardware from reputable German distributor Häfele to ensure our units last a lifetime.
